Everest Base Camp Trek

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Take this day to rest, recover from your journey, and prepare for the exciting adventure ahead. If time allows, you can explore nearby areas or relax at your hotel.

In the evening, there may be a brief briefing about your trek, including tips on packing, acclimatization, and the journey ahead, ensuring you’re ready to start your Himalayan adventure smoothly.

After an early breakfast, take a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (2,860m), where your trekking adventure officially begins. From Lukla, you’ll start your trek along the Dudh Koshi River, passing through beautiful pine and rhododendron forests, suspension bridges, and small villages.

Your destination for the day is Phakding (2,651m), a quaint village where you’ll spend your first night in the mountains. The trek is relatively easy, giving your body a chance to start acclimatizing to the altitude while soaking in the stunning Himalayan scenery.

Today’s trek takes you deeper into the Khumbu region, following the trail along the Dudh Koshi River. You’ll cross several suspension bridges and pass through small Sherpa villages, enjoying your first glimpses of the majestic Himalayan peaks.

The trail gradually ascends as you approach Namche Bazaar (3,438m), the bustling trading hub of the Everest region. Known as the main acclimatization stop, Namche offers shops, cafés, and stunning panoramic views of surrounding mountains.

Today is a rest and acclimatization day to help your body adjust to the higher altitude. You can take short hikes around Namche Bazaar, visit the local Sherpa museum, explore quaint shops, or simply enjoy the stunning views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam from the village.

This day is also an opportunity to interact with the Sherpa community, learn about their culture, and prepare mentally and physically for the next phase of your trek. A relaxed pace today ensures a safer and more enjoyable journey ahead.

After breakfast, you leave Namche Bazaar and trek through rhododendron and pine forests, crossing suspension bridges and enjoying spectacular views of Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and the surrounding peaks. The trail gradually climbs as you approach Tengboche, a serene village known for its famous Tengboche Monastery, the largest in the Khumbu region.

Upon arrival, take time to visit the monastery, soak in the peaceful atmosphere, and admire the panoramic Himalayan views. This village offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and Sherpa culture, making it one of the highlights of your trek.

Today, the trail leads you through open landscapes and alpine terrain, offering closer views of towering peaks like Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and Nuptse. You’ll pass through small villages and yak pastures, experiencing the tranquil Sherpa way of life.

Your destination is Dingboche (4,350m), a charming village known for its stone houses and spectacular mountain views. This village serves as a key acclimatization stop before you ascend to higher altitudes, giving your body a chance to adjust while you enjoy the serene Himalayan surroundings.

Today is a rest and acclimatization day in Dingboche to help your body adjust to the higher altitude. You can take a short hike to Nangkar Tshang Peak or Chhukung Valley, which provides stunning views of Lhotse, Island Peak, and Ama Dablam, while gently challenging your body to adapt.

This day also gives you a chance to explore the village, interact with the Sherpa locals, and enjoy the serene Himalayan surroundings. Proper acclimatization here is crucial for a safe and successful trek to Everest Base Camp in the coming days.

Today, the trek becomes more challenging as you gradually gain altitude while moving through the dramatic Khumbu landscapes. You’ll pass small villages, rocky paths, and yak grazing areas, with stunning views of Ama Dablam, Pumori, and the Khumbu Glacier along the way.

Your destination is Lobuche (4,940m), a small settlement that serves as a base for trekkers heading to Everest Base Camp. Take time to rest, enjoy the breathtaking surroundings, and prepare for the final leg of your journey.

Today is one of the most exciting days of the trek. From Lobuche, you’ll trek through rugged terrain, crossing rocky paths and moraines, with breathtaking views of Pumori, Lingtren, and Khumbu Glacier. Your first stop is Gorak Shep (5,170m), the last settlement before Everest Base Camp, where you’ll rest and have lunch.

Afterward, continue to Everest Base Camp (5,364m), the legendary site where climbers begin their ascent of the world’s highest peak. Take time to soak in the atmosphere, capture photos, and feel the magnitude of Everest. After exploring, return to Gorak Shep for an overnight stay, preparing for the early morning climb to Kala Patthar tomorrow.

Today starts with an early morning hike to Kala Patthar, the most famous viewpoint for Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and the Khumbu Glacier. The climb is steep but rewarding, offering breathtaking panoramic views and the perfect opportunity for unforgettable photos.

After soaking in the sunrise and the incredible scenery, you’ll descend back to Gorak Shep for breakfast and then continue trekking down to Pangboche (3,985m). This village is home to one of the oldest monasteries in the Khumbu region, offering a peaceful setting to rest and recover after a long but spectacular day.

Today, you begin your descent from the high Himalayas back toward Namche Bazaar. The trail passes through Sherpa villages, suspension bridges, and scenic forests, offering a chance to reflect on your journey while enjoying the familiar sights of the Khumbu Valley.

The descent can be long, but the stunning mountain landscapes, flowing rivers, and traditional villages make it a rewarding day. Upon arrival in Namche Bazaar, you’ll have time to relax, explore, and enjoy the local cafes and shops, celebrating the accomplishments of your trek so far.

On the final trekking day, you descend from the Khumbu highlands back to Lukla, retracing your steps through forests, rivers, and traditional Sherpa villages. The trail offers breathtaking views of mountains and valleys, making the long descent enjoyable and memorable.

Arriving in Lukla, you’ll celebrate the completion of your Everest Base Camp trek and spend your last night in the mountains, enjoying the local hospitality and reflecting on your incredible journey.

After breakfast, take a scenic morning flight from Lukla back to Kathmandu, offering stunning aerial views of the Himalayan peaks and valleys you’ve just explored. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel to rest and relax.

The rest of the day is free for exploring Kathmandu, shopping for souvenirs, or simply enjoying the city’s vibrant culture and cuisine. This is a perfect opportunity to reflect on your incredible Everest Base Camp adventure.

Today marks the end of your Everest Base Camp adventure. After breakfast, our representative will transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, for your onward flight home.
