Khopra Danda Trek

12 Days 11 Nights

The Khopra Danda Trek, combined with Mohare Hill, takes you into a remote part of the Annapurna region, showcasing unspoiled natural beauty, panoramic mountain views, and a deep immersion into the rich Gurung culture.

This moderately challenging trek begins with a visit to Nangi Village (2,260 m), nestled between Beni and Poon Hill. Nangi is gaining recognition as a sustainable, eco-friendly village, offering locals vocational courses in sustainable agriculture and even running a small cottage industry producing handmade paper. From here, the trail leads to Khopra Village (3,660 m), located just north of Ghorepani. This remote village provides some of the most breathtaking panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri massifs, with Dhaulagiri stretching over 120 km.

Trek highlights include spectacular views of some of Nepal’s iconic peaks: Annapurna I (8,091 m, 10th highest in the world), Annapurna II (7,937 m), Annapurna III (7,555 m), Annapurna IV (7,525 m), Machapuchare (6,997 m), Dhaulagiri I (8,167 m), Hiunchuli (6,441 m), Lamjung Himal (6,987 m), Nilgiri (7,061 m), Manaslu (8,163 m), Tilicho (7,134 m), and Gangapurna (7,455 m).
