Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel. Take this day to rest after your journey, settle in, and acclimate to the city’s altitude. Depending on your arrival time, you can explore nearby areas, enjoy local cuisine, or simply relax and prepare for the exciting trekking and climbing adventure ahead.

After an early breakfast, take a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, known for its dramatic Himalayan airstrip. From Lukla, begin your trek, following the trail through lush forests and traditional Sherpa villages. Today’s trek leads to Chutanga, situated at 3,020 m, where you will stay overnight in a local teahouse. Enjoy the serene mountain surroundings and get your first taste of trekking in the Everest region.

Today’s trek is challenging but rewarding, as you cross the high Zatrwa La Pass at 4,610 m. The trail takes you through rugged terrain, offering breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks and remote valleys. Today is a well-earned rest day at Thaknak (4,358 m) to allow your body to acclimatize to the higher altitude. This day helps reduce the risk of altitude sickness and prepares you physically and mentally for the upcoming climb toward Mera Peak. Overnight stay is at the teahouse in Thaknak.

Today, you embark on a steady ascent from Thaknak to Khare at 5,000 m, entering the high-altitude zone of the Hinku Valley. The trail passes through dramatic landscapes of moraine, glaciers, and rugged peaks. Khare serves as the main base camp for Mera Peak, providing the perfect spot to rest, acclimatize, and prepare for the climb. Today, you make the short but important trek from Khare to Mera Peak Base Camp at 5,300 m. Base Camp serves as your staging point for the summit attempt, allowing you to rest, acclimatize, and prepare your gear. Today, you ascend from Mera Peak Base Camp to High Camp at 5,780 m. After the excitement of summiting Mera Peak, you begin your descent from Khare back to Kote at 4,182 m. The trail gradually leads down through alpine meadows and yak herder settlements, offering a more relaxed trekking pace. This descent helps your body recover from the high-altitude climb while still enjoying the stunning scenery of the Hinku Valley. Overnight stay is in a teahouse at Kote.

Today, you continue descending from Kote to Thuli Kharka at 4,300 m, retracing parts of your earlier route. The trail passes through serene alpine valleys and traditional yak herder camps, offering a peaceful atmosphere after the summit climb. This moderate trekking day allows you to enjoy the pristine Himalayan landscape while giving your body time to recover. Overnight stay is at a teahouse in Thuli Kharka.

Today, you trek back toward Lukla, crossing the high Zatrwa La Pass at 4,610 m once again.
